About: Belle Femme Therapeutics, LLCWilliam B. Curnow retired from Johnson & Johnson and founded our company in 2004. He served on the Board of Directors for three J&J - Pharmaceutical Companies. He was the Vice-President, and Board Member of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, and also served as Executive Director of Johnson and Johnson’s Dermatology Company. After his retirement from Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Curnow began funding research in the specific areas of Striae Gravidarum – Stretch Marks. A prescription (postpartum) dermatology product called retinoic acid has demonstrated an 80% reduction in the appearance of stretch mark lesions but caused significant side effects in over 50% of patients. Many dermatology researchers believed the parent compound (retinol) would also improve the (postpartum) appearance of stretch marks and significantly reduce side effects - if the proper dose were developed. After extensive testing, the proper formula was identified. The silicone based formula improved the stretch mark appearance in most patients with a significant reduction in side effects. In 2007, Belle Femme Therapeutics LLC, began marketing Post-Grav Serum™ to Ob/Gyn physicians, allowing them to prescribe and dispense the product to their postpartum patients.
